Air India Pilots threaten in mid-flight to fly to Pakistan

This is not funny even though it sounds like it. Air India Pilots on a flight from Sharjah, UAE to New Delhi, leave the cockpit controls and get into a fist fight with other crew members. This after the air hostess in flight accuses them of sexual harassment. This gets more bizarre, as the argument/fight escalates the pilots threaten to fly to Pakistan. Check out more at sky news.

Dad wears a Helmet but what about his kids who are riding with him?

This is bizarre. We were watching "Aapki Antara" (Indian TV Serial) on Indian TV (ZeeTV)....and bumped into this image.

Dad is about to ride his bike with his kids sitting at the back. Now he takes care of himself by wearing a helmet but there are no helmets provided for the kids. Of course "Dad" is just a actor but still this is crazy. The producers, directors, actors all should be ashamed of themselves. Law enforcement folks from India (if they care) should look into this. Hindus Angry over Canton Township Commissioner's Urination Remark

Catherine Johnson a Canton Township, MI planning commissioner asked during a debate whether Hindu women urinate in public as part of their faith. This was said on December 3rd, 2007 at a meeting over a $5 million plans to expand the Hindu Temple of Canton. Asian Indians were very...very angry at this and their anger resulted in Catherine Johnson quiting her post.

This from Detroit News:
many Asian Indians said the question was an unfair characterization of their culture and a lie. Others complained the remark underscored stereotypes about cleanliness in India, where poverty is rampant.
About the Hindu Temple expansion plans:
The Hindu temple's expansion plans have caused controversy because neighbors claim the project would look out of place next to $300,000 homes. Members want to demolish the 20-year-old temple and build an ornate, 35,000-square-foot, double-domed replacement deeper on property at Cherry Hill near Canton Center. Planners delayed a decision this month.

Hindu Gods directed to appear before court in Jharkand, India

Talk about bizarre! A judge by the name of Sunil Kumar Singh in the eastern state of Jharkand, India has placed advertisement in newspapers asking the gods (Ram and Hanuman) to "appear before the court personally". This to resolve a dispute which is now now 20 years old and revolves around the ownership of a 1.4 acre plot of land housing two temples.

Quoting BBC (the text of the advertisement which was addressed to the Hindu Gods!)
"You failed to appear in court despite notices sent by a peon and later through registered post. You are herby directed to appear before the court personally"
Curious as to know where the judge and the lawyers in this case got their Law degree/education.

Rich Indian Families can pay to choose the gender of their baby

I came across this bizarre story yesterday. A Los Angeles Fertility clinic is advertising in Indian American media that "A $18,000 procedure can help you choose the gender of your baby". This clinic is claiming a 100% success rate and has been featured in Newsweek, CNN, 60 Minutes, Good Morning America.

Of all the Indian patients visiting this clinic 25% travel from India.

This is the guy who can change the gender balance of our community.

Teen Surgeon from Tamil Nadu, India

This picture of Dr. K. Murugesan, his doctor wife Gandhimathi, and 15 year old son Dhileepan Raj was taken at their residence at Manaparai, near Trichy, India during happy times.

But now the family is in hot water. Why? Because The 15-year-old Raj performed a filmed Cesarean section birth under his parents' watch in southern India in an apparent bid to gain a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records as the youngest surgeon. Police on Monday, June 25th arrested the doctor couple. If convicted they could be sent to jail for up to 7 years.

What in the world were the parents thinking? Horrific/Shocking as it is....On top of it they went on to film the whole thing and show off to their friends.
